Dr. Autumn Amor

Autumn is a healer, mover and an embodied human who promotes self expression and body communication as a window into ourselves and our world. Autumn is a practicing Physical Therapist in Portland, OR. She uses her expertise in healing touch and anatomy in combination with somatics to enrich her embodied movement and healing practices. She believes that dance can be a form that grants us access to answers we’re searching for. Autumn promotes the use of dance as a laboratory of personal and social dynamics granting us further exploration into hidden emotion and unconscious boundaries allowing us to step through them into true authenticity. Autumn has danced and facilitated in spaces across the world over the years, spreading her light and joy in her dance through connection, play, sound, and deep listening. Her work is informed by contact improvisation, solo improvisation, solo and partner somatic listening, Authentic Movement, Authentic Relating, Circling, Qi Gong, Body-Mind Centering, Tamalpa: Life Art Process, Internal Family Systems, salsa, cha cha, blues, contemporary dance, yoga and acroyoga, Myofascial Release, Institute of Physical Art, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Mobilization, and Functional Patterns.
