Grief Ceremony

Jillynn and Laura met under a waning crescent moon in the sign of Virgo. We like to believe we were brought together by creativity and ancestors but we had been in proximal orbits for sometime before we actually met so it was only a matter of time before our paths crossed. Both weavers of community and caretakers of the earth, our connection continues to deepen as we navigate the innate cycles of life; leaning into the darkness with as much dedication as we tend the light. We believe deeply in finding balance in all things and know that the depth of joy one can feel is directly related to our capacity to process our grief. It is our honor to host a communal grief ceremony with the community at Imagine.

Laura is a somatic and relationship-centered psychedelic therapist and healer. She welcomes the integration of our wholeness through embodied authentic expression to live fully. She holds a fierce and loving presence for ancestral healing and reconnection and remembrance of our belonging with one another, spirit, soul and the earth. She believes healing and change happens when sharing in our communal grief, joy and gratitude. Laura weaves reverence and celebration through earth-based ritual, expressive arts, community connection, play and reciprocity in nature, group work, and ceremony. You can meet her dancing intimately in the sacred spiral beauty of our interconnectedness and aliveness.

Jillynn Garcia is a creative healer and explorer of the deep within and great beyond. Jillynn draws on ritual, plant medicine and the guidance of her Tainos ancestors and animal kin as she makes her way through this lifetime; paintbrush in her hand, riverstone in her pocket and birdsong in her heart. She believes that our authentic selves emerge from the juiciness of leaning into liminal spaces and connecting with the rhythms of nature.
